I visited The Malayan Council at Esplanade branch last weekend. I doubt is the newest branch in Singapore. I went there late evening around 18:30PM. Take my sweet time to reach the location. It is terrible traffic during this hour. And plus point it is on Friday evening. I guess everyone rushing back home from work or is TGIF people start to find their spot to chill on Friday evening. I meet up with a bunch of friends. Take note, do make reservation. The place is always fully booked. Unless you do not mind to walk in and queue for your turn. Upon arriving, I do not see any queue outside. But half way eating, queue started to form outside.  Smoked Duck Lemak Chili Padi I ordered Smoked Duck Lemak Chili Padi. Something new that I would like to try from the menu. This restaurant is Halal. So Muslim, you are free to try this restaurant. If you can take spicy, this dish is recommended. Well, the name itself stated 'Chili Padi', of cause it is spicy. The gravy is thick, taste in be...

NZ Curry House | Malaysia

Image
Have you heard of this restaurant name in Kuala Lumpur called NZ Curry House? My first impression from the name, this restaurant should be selling curry dishes. And the NZ could be from New Zealand? Just an assumption of guessing from the name itself. I first notice bout this restaurant when I roam around the famous KLCC twin tower area. It is located at the side way facing directly the twin tower. Can be quite hidden if you are not familiar with the area. But you will not get lost. Google map is always there to assist you. I like the environment where it is spacious and various type of food. This restaurant sells typical Indian Muslim food where by you can get from rice to fried items. Malaysian loves to eat this type of food. Pricing wise, it is not that expensive. For those who does not like cafe type of vibe, can try to hang out at this area. Upon googling, there are few branches operating around Klang valley. You can try to google NZ Curry House to check out the branch near y...

I went around 18:00PM (GMT+8) the crowd starting to queue at the counter. You need to order and make payment first before you get your meal. Not sure if they are short of staff. The service is quite slow. Only two staff working during that hour. Tips here, do take note which menu you ...

Image
Nasi Lemak Royale is originated from Kedah. Kedah is one of the state in Malaysia. Located at the north of peninsular Malaysia. There are many branches located in other states too. I went to one of the branch located at Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. You will definitely love it if you are a rice lover. Basically Nasi Lemak Royale is serve with rice and few dishes, together with the mix gravy. The rice color is yellowish and it is so fragrance. Eat it when is hot. Mouth dropping and saliva around my cheek upon thinking of this dish again. I had as above picture. I ordered fried chicken, salted egg, and fried cabbage. By default, the seller will mix the gravy for you on top of your rice. For those who have not eaten before, some simple guidelines here. You basically need to queue at the dish area, choose your dish, and let the seller know if you want separate gravy or not too much gravy. Some people might not take too spicy, I suggest to have lesser gravy. There are variety of dishes from ch...
