Traditional Sarawak Kolo Mee | Singapore

There are huge renovation revamp near my neighborhood. The shops start to operate one by one but is not really fully open. I walk around last weekend to checkout available food. There is this shop with plenty of official opening flowers outside the shop. It is Traditional Sarawak Kolo Mee. Upon googling, I notice there are other branch as well in Singapore. So this shop is not something new. Not much review yet, I decided to have a try.

Traditional Sarawak Kolo Mee

The shop located center facing the outside road. If you walk pass, you will notice this shop. Is quite spacious and have plenty of seats. Beside this shop, they sell waffles with ice cream. Perhaps next time I will review this waffle shop. I went around 18:00PM (GMT+8) the crowd starting to queue at the counter. You need to order and make payment first before you get your meal. Not sure if they are short of staff. The service is quite slow. Only two staff working during that hour. Tips here, do take note which menu you would like to order, as the staff are not that friendly and she took the order like bullet train. I do not have time to order my drinks, she rush to make my order.

I ordered the signature noodle which comes with minced meat and char siew. I also add on half noodle which cost additional $1.50 (SGD). The signature Sarawak Kolo Mee cost $6.00 (SGD). The noodle is very tangy and not hard. Some stall has strong noodle smell, but this shop is perfect. Not sure if they make the noodle by them self. It is white plain with very little of gravy. There do provide chili and pickles. You should try out the chili. It is very tasty when you mix it together with your noodle. They do have side order like dry and soup wonton. But I notice the price is quite pricy. It cost $5.00 (SGD) for the side order.

I literally finish up my noodle! Is quite tasty. I went back when the queue is shorter to try the Sarawak Teh. Apparently, nothing special bout this tea. It is just normal Teh-C like how you order from normal Kopitiam or local cafe. A cup of hot Sarawak Teh cost you $2.20 (SGD). In summary, the main highlight is just try the signature Sarawak Kolo Mee. Other than that, I think is waste of money. Comment down below what you think bout this shop vs the original Sarawak Kolo Mee from Sarawak itself. Thanks for reading guys :)
