Nasi Lemak Royale
Nasi Lemak Royale is originated from Kedah. Kedah is one of the state in Malaysia. Located at the north of peninsular Malaysia. There are many branches located in other states too. I went to one of the branch located at Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. You will definitely love it if you are a rice lover. Basically Nasi Lemak Royale is serve with rice and few dishes, together with the mix gravy. The rice color is yellowish and it is so fragrance. Eat it when is hot. Mouth dropping and saliva around my cheek upon thinking of this dish again.
I had as above picture. I ordered fried chicken, salted egg, and fried cabbage. By default, the seller will mix the gravy for you on top of your rice. For those who have not eaten before, some simple guidelines here. You basically need to queue at the dish area, choose your dish, and let the seller know if you want separate gravy or not too much gravy. Some people might not take too spicy, I suggest to have lesser gravy. There are variety of dishes from chicken, fish, to seafood like prawn and cuttlefish. Some are cooked with gravy some are just purely fried.
My friend took the biggest prawn ever display there. As you can see from the picture, that is a huge prawn. It is very fresh and tasty. If we follow the usual Malay way, we use hand to enjoy the food. Don't worry, they do provide utensil :) Next question, I am sure you wonder how much does it cost. It depends on how much dishes you select, and also how much amount you request to add. My meal on the first picture cost MYR 9 ringgit while my friend meal with the big prawn cost MYR 21 ringgit! Not sure if that is the standard price for having seafood. But the amount paid satisfy our needs and cravings.
I believe they open more and more outlet or so called branches around the state. You may just google Nasi Lemak Royale. Who knows is just around your neighborhood area. Should try out and comment below what do you think. Thanks for reading guys!
